Ethekwini Cold Stores (Pty) Ltd (ECS) has two exceptional cold stores of choice situated in Prospection (ECS1) and Cornubia (ECS2) in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Our distinctive offering integrates service excellence with balanced efficiency for each of our clients.
Our modern equipment and precise systems and procedures is complimented by a competent, experienced and passionate team.
SERVICES
HANDLING CAPACITY
ECS1 – Can receive and dispatch 2 000 pallets per day
ECS2 – Can receive and dispatch 1 000 pallets per day
COOLING
ECS1 – From -2.5°C to ambient room temperatures, including forced air cooling
ECS2 – From +5°C to ambient room temperatures
INSPECTION FACILITIES
Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) & Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) approved inspection points
STORAGE CAPACITY
ECS1 – 8 500 pallets. See the breakdown on page 6 of the e-brochure
ECS2 – 4 050 pallets commercial in static racking single picking faces
